The ReCIPE Coalition (Regional Coalition for Critical Infrastructure Protection, Education and Practice) was created to join academia, industry, and government for the cybersecurity management and defense of critical infrastructure in the Midwest. This coalition forges a collaborative mechanism through facilitation of educational content, collaboration and practical impact opportunities that seek to solve pressing regional industrial and governmental cybersecurity issues.
This effort has produced numerous outputs that include responsive module-based learning materials, lab-based hands-on experiences, repeatable solutions-focused recipes, realistic capstone design projects, practical scenario-based table-top exercises, and critical infrastructure cyber-defense competitions. Resulting topical content is available to inform future National Centers for Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity knowledge units focused on maximizing the value to industry and government.
The University lead regional coalition is comprised of a broad range of midwestern stakeholders that share a common goal: to defend the cyber-physical infrastructure and increase the availability of a highly trained workforce through purposeful, practical, hands-on educational and training experiences delivered in novel ways to drive rapid learner understanding and assimilation.
